Posted by coffee

Ethiopia

Although an extremely poor country, Ethiopia is a significant producer of coffee, both in quality and quantity. Some of the world's finest coffee and most individual coffee, and some of the very low natural caffeine content are imported from this country. Generally from Sidamo, Kaffa, Harrar, and Wellega. Some of the best known Ethiopian coffee are Djimmah, Ghimbi, Lekempti, Harrar. Some of the Ethiopian coffee are wild or gamey in flavor but extremely interesting for the unwashed traditional processed coffee. Some are lemony, delicate, winey, floral and soft for the washed coffee.
